  1. May 06,  · American Blues Do Their Thing, an Album by American Blues. Released in on See for Miles (catalog no. SEE 99; Vinyl LP). Genres: Blues Rock/5(6).
  2. The American Blues Do Their Thing offered a form of hard rock psychedelia, as evinced by such titles as ‘Chocolate Ego’ and ‘Nightmare Of A Wise Man’, but the album failed to spark national interest. The group disintegrated soon afterwards, with first Beard, then Dusty Hill, joining ZZ Top.
  3. This is their second album, and is even lesser known than the first, 'Is Here'. While 'Is here' had a broad variety, 'Do their thing' is mostly focused on psychedelia. Also, 'Do their thing' is an even darker album with dark themes. The closing song to this album, 'Softly, to the sun' is, in my opinion, one the greatest songs ever written.3/5(1).
